Kremp Fig Collection
Kremp Florist is pleased to introduce the “Kremp Collection” of figs. This collection consists of exceptional unknown varieties collected in southeast Pennsylvania (USDA Hardiness Zones 7A and 7B). Many hours have been spent driving the streets of Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs in search of hardy fig trees that bear the delicious sweet fruit. All varieties have been collected with permission, and when possible, the origin and history of the fig is documented. The names of these varieties have been lost or forgotten, but they are time tested, reliably productive favorites. The varieties are numbered and followed by the color and/or origin of the fig, for example KC-1 black Greek. Whether you choose to grow them in the ground as the mother trees were, or in containers, the varieties offered in the Kremp Collection are guaranteed to satisfy.
