Details
Divine was discovered in northern California where it was growing as a wild seedling. The figs are round with purple and green skin and stripes that remain as the fig ripens. Many have tried their hand at describing the flavor of the red pulp inside Divine figs. The texture is creamy and rich. When allowed to fully ripen on the tree, the figs are super sweet but still maintain a bit of tang. Tasters have noted a variety of berry flavors in Divine figs like strawberry, cherry, blackberry, and raspberry. Divine is a complex fig with many desirable growing qualities.
The figs have good attachment to the tree and are tasty when allowed to shrivel slightly on the tree. Divine figs don’t sour in extreme heat. This is a common variety that does not require wasp pollination to get the sweet and complex flavor that fig enthusiasts are looking for. All these qualities make the northern Cali seedling simply Divine.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
