De La Roca Fig
Inside, De La Roca has a pulp that is more yellow at the top and fades to a dark red near the bottom. The fruit is very soft and has a fairly strong berry flavor and sweetness. Some have even described it as flowery tasting. It has a chewy texture and a little seed crunch. This variety is tried and true, originating from famed fig grower, Montserrat Pons. Consider adding De La Roca to your fig collection!

Details
De La Roca is a Spanish variety fig whose looks make it a bit of a chameleon. The skin of this fig can range anywhere from yellow to purple, but usually falls somewhere in the middle with a greenish/purple cast. The skin can sometimes have a crackled appearance, but almost always presents the signature pattern of small dots characteristic of De La Roca. They are pretty figs, known to be small and showy, weighing in at around 32-41 grams. De La Rocas will usually be rounded or tear dropped shaped with little to no neck. The plants usually bear 3 lobed leaves and are resistant to rain with little to no splitting!

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
