De Capocorp Den Munar Fig
De Capocorp D'en Munar is a fig with a mouth-full of a name. But that name traces back to this variety's roots in the Llucmajor district of Mallorca. That's where famed fig collector Montserrat Pons discovered this fig growing wild on a farm called Capocorp. The fig grew next to a drinking water pond, in the shadow of a century-old pine tree. What a beautiful scene! So, Pons named this fig to honor the farm and its owner, Miquel Munar.

Details
De Capocorp D’en Munar are medium sized figs with green, yellow, and white skin. They have an intense red pulp with a juicy sweet flavor. Their skin is thin and delicate, so this variety is best enjoyed straight from the tree as it does not transport well. It is a common variety and a uniferous variety, producing one main crop annually. De Capocorp D’en Munar ripens late in the season, from September-October, and has a fair resistance to rains. Its trees will have mostly 5 lobed leaves with fewer 3- and single lobed leaves. Its leaves have finely serrated edges.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
