The Bordissot Blanca Negra is a Spanish fig, originally hailing from Mallorca where renowned fig grower, Montserrat Pons, tended it. You may be confused upon hearing the Spanish words for both white and black in the name of the Bordissot Blanca Negra fig,but the name refers to the beautiful purple and green striping on the skin of this unique variety. The fig is round, without a long neck and is medium sized. The plant’s leaves are usually 5-lobed but can also be tri or single-lobed.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
