Details
Trinacria figs are large, sometimes weighing around 80 grams. This variety is recommended for northern growers because the figs ripen early-mid season and have good resistance to splitting in rains and humidity. Trinacria is also cold hardy, and can overwinter when planted directly in the ground. The trees are very productive, with many large, round figs.
The golden pulp of Trinacria is very sweet with a honey taste. Trinacria is an Italian variety that comes from Sicily. There, it was part of the fig collection of well-known fig grower, Fig Arts by Nikky.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
