However, connoisseurs have called it the next hot fig because of its attractive appearance, large size, and ability to withstand shipping and handling. What we do know about Constantine de Algerie (often abbreviated CDA) is that the plant bears 5 lobed leaves and large yellow fruits. The figs are round with only short necks and have a uniform, smooth skin. Inside, the fruit is a beautiful light yellow-pink color, giving an appearance almost like a lemon. The soft skin itself is sweet, giving way to a super sweet interior filled with honey. It has a slight seed crunch. Try this variety for yourself to be on the cutting edge of this trend coming out of Malaysia.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
