In this book, Kremp recounts childhood and adulthood memories, designing 
Presidential inauguration flowers, working with his children who now run the 
business, and personal experiences in-between especially the one lucky thing that 
happened to affect the rest of his life, meeting and falling in love with his wife, 
Gina. He also expands upon several philosophies gathered over the years to guide 
his life and business.

Charles F. Kremp 3rd  lives in Jenkintown, PA, with his wife Gina. He is Chairman 
of Kremp Florist in the Philadelphia area and is 1 of only about 13 retail florist 
owners to be named to the Society of American Florists Floriculture Hall of Fame, 
the industry’s highest honor. He has also been named Pennsylvania Florist of the 
Year, Citizen of the Year by the local chamber of commerce and honored with 
many other notable industry and community awards. Today, although not involved 
in the day-to-day business activities, he enjoys discussing new ideas and plans with  
his sons Scott, Steve, Drew and Chad, who along with his daughter-in-law and two 
grandsons who now run Kremp Florist. In his over 70 years in the floral industry, 
he has witnessed many cultural changes not only in the flower industry but society 
as a whole which have necessitated changes in how Kremp markets its products 
and services. His business strategy has adjusted many times in response to these, 
adapting from an initial single local flower shop to one with branches covering the 
Philadelphia market and back to the single store location with an intense 
investment and effort in Internet marketing.

Kremp’s has been a staple at the annual Philadelphia Flower Show, where Charles 
has been involved for 50 years and won several awards.  He was the industry 
consultant to a start-up working to move the complex floral industry into e-
commerce and developed one of the first florist websites.  His strong interest in 
marketing was recognized, and he was appointed chair of the American Floral 
Marketing Council. Charles has consulted for many industry corporations and held 
seminars across the United States and Canada for retail florists focusing on 
strategies to improve their businesses.  A highlight of his career was being selected 
four times to lead the effort to provide floral decorations for all the public events at 
the Presidential Inaugurations - for George H. W, Bush, the first for Bill Clinton, 
and both for George W, Bush.
