Sometimes the Best Medicine Is Knowing Someone Cares
You wish you could speed up their recovery, skip the
doctor's orders, or make their pain disappear.
While you can't prescribe the medicine, you can
remind them that they aren't facing it alone. A beautiful gift of flowers is something
that will keep them company, help them smile and remind them of the support you
have for them.
A burst of colorful flowers arriving at their door, a
peaceful plant for their bedside, or a comforting gift package gives them a big
reason to smile. For more than 65 years, Kremp Florist has helped thoughtful
people turn caring feelings into real, meaningful deliveries.
Get-Well Flowers That Bring Real Cheer
Nothing provides happiness and cheer like the gift of get
well flowers. When someone’s schedule
suddenly revolves around medications, resting, and doctor visits, a pop of
natural color provides a much-needed welcome change of scenery.
Vibrant sunflowers, bright daisies, blooming plants, mixed
seasonal bouquets, colorful roses, and long lasting lilies are popular choices
for an upbeat get-well wish.
You don't need to worry about finding the
"perfect" bloom — focus on what fits their personality:
- Loves
bright energy? Pick a bold, sunny arrangement filled with yellows,
oranges, and pinks. - Prefers
calm & quiet? Choose a soft, calming pastel bouquet that brings a peaceful
comfort to any room. - Enjoys
gardening? Send a green plant or flowering planter they can keep
growing long after they're healed.
Sending Get-Well Wishes for Every Situation
Recovery looks different for everyone. Here is a guide to
help you choose the right gesture for where they are right now:
- After
Surgery: The first days of post-op rest can be tough. A bright bouquet
gives them something beautiful to look at while they recover. - During
a Hospital Stay: Hospital rooms can quickly feel cold and sterile.
Fresh blooms or green plants bring life and color into the space where
permitted. Tabletop planters and floral arrangements are a great choice. - Recovering
at Home: Being stuck at home off a normal routine gets monotonous. A
surprise arrival breaks up the day and lifts their spirits. Pick something
that will be easy for them to display. - Rough
Patches & Hard Days: Not every recovery is physical. If a friend
or colleague is going through an emotionally stressful time, a delivery
lets them know they have a team supporting them. Any gift is great for
this.
How to Send Get-Well Flowers to a Hospital
Hospital deliveries require a bit more coordination than
residential orders, but they are still easy for us. Here are some simple reminders:
- Check
Hospital Policies First: Certain specialized units — such as Intensive
Care Units (ICU), Oncology wards, or Burn Centers — may restrict fresh
flowers or live soil plants for patient safety. In this scenario, we
should wait til they are in a regular room to ensure a successful delivery. - Consider
Allergies & Scents: Highly fragrant flowers (like heavy lilies) or
soil plants can sometimes trigger allergies or irritate sensitive recovery
environments. You can always request “nothing too fragrant” to be safe. - Provide
Full Details: Always include the patient’s full legal name, the
hospital facility name, and their room or department number if available. If
you don’t have that, no worries. We
can ask the front desk when we arrive.
💡 Pro-Tip: Unsure
if your recipient can accept flowers in their hospital room? You can always
have your get-well gift delivered directly to their home so a bright surprise
is waiting for them as soon as they get discharged! We can even coordinate with
a loved one or family member to ensure someone is home when we deliver.
How Easy It Is to Send Get Well Cheer
Sending support shouldn't be complicated. Here is all it
takes:
- Pick
Something Cheerful: Choose a flower arrangement, plant, or gift basket
that fits their style. - Add
Your Personalized Message: Write your special note so they know who
sent the love. - Enter
Delivery Info: Provide their home address, hospital or medical
facility details. If you are missing info, we will still do our homework
to get it for you. - We
Handle the Rest: Our team coordinates local delivery and ensures it
arrives fresh.
What Should You Write on a Get-Well Card?
You don't need formal or poetic prose on a get-well card —
warmth and sincerity are what matter most. Remember- this is from you to
them. Speak like you’re talking directly
to them!
- Simple
& Warm: "Thinking of you and sending lots of love for a
speedy recovery!" - Upbeat
& Encouraging: "Sending a little sunshine your way! Can't
wait to see you back on your feet soon." - From
Coworkers: "We miss you around the office! Wishing you a
smooth recovery."
If you are close to the recipient, you could include an
inside joke or a lighthearted comment as laughter is often the best comfort.

Get-Well Flowers & Gifts FAQs
Can flowers be delivered directly to a hospital room?
Yes, in most general recovery rooms we can do this but it
does depend on the rules of the hospital or medical center. However- ICU, CCU,
and oncology units often restrict live flowers or plants. We recommend checking
with the hospital's main desk or nurse's station prior to ordering. If we
attempt delivery and the flowers cannot be left, we can reschedule the delivery
when they are in a new room.
What if I don't know the recipient's hospital room
number?
That is not a problem at all. Provide their full registered name and the
hospital facility name. Our delivery team verifies details with the hospital
reception desk upon arrival.
What are the best low-scent flowers for sensitive
recovery environments?
Sunflowers, daisies, tulips, hydrangeas, and carnations are
excellent choices that carry minimal scent, making them ideal for sensitive
surroundings or individuals with allergies. We cannot guarantee that all
hospitals will accept these varieties but they are common choices for low
scent.
Can I get get-well flowers delivered the same day?
Yes! Same-day delivery is our specialty. We recommend ordering before 12:30pm to
ensure timely delivery and availability.
What if the patient is discharged before the flowers
arrive?
If a patient is discharged early, we can easily redirect
your delivery to their home address. Simply contact our customer support team
with the updated address. If we attempt
delivery and they are already gone, we may contact you for more information.
