Many people know that Chicago is home to the Willis Tower, better known by its former name of the Sears Tower. This skyscraper completed in 1973 is 110 stories tall and is 2nd in height only to the 2014 World Trade Center building in New York City in all of the Western Hemisphere. Did you know, though, that Chicago was also the site of the first skyscraper? The Home Insurance Building erected in 1885 was a mere 10 stories high, but the technique of creating a steel interior frame with a brick exterior marked a new type of construction known as the Chicago Skeleton.

Certain types of flowers, known as line flowers, have blossoms all along their stems that create a ‘line’ and give an arrangement height.
