unknown-blackberry-fig
Unknown Blackberry Fig

Unknown Blackberry pulp can range from pink to a deeper purple–possibly due to growing conditions and pollination. It is a confirmed common variety that has had successful growth on the east coast of the US. The most notable thing about these figs is the unique blackberry flavor. It is time to pick Unk Blackberry when the skin is slightly wrinkled and the pulp is thick and jammy. When dried on the tree, the pulp becomes like fruit leather. The mix of blackberry and blueberry flavors gives this a distinct taste from other berry figs. Unk Blackberry is also a highly productive variety. While younger trees seem to produce many small figs, the original source, Eleazar Farms, has pictured large teardrop shaped figs. This is likely a fig that gets better over time and the unknown may have been established for many years before it was discovered on Eleazar Farm’s California ranch. Unknown Blackberry produces a breba and a main crop and is a cold hardy variety.

Terms and Conditions:

***Please be sure to read our Terms and Conditions before purchasing cuttings***

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state.
