The pulp is a deep orange and brown color and has a nice creamy texture. LiVolsi is also known as a highly productive variety with a long harvest period. You can expect this tree to ripen its main crop around late July (depending on growing conditions) and continue to fruit through October. It is a common variety, not requiring wasp pollination, and the figs have closed eyes that provide good resistance to pests and mold. Livolsi trees will grow a combination of spade, 3-, and 5-lobed leaves. The leaves have very small serrations around the edges. LiVolsi comes from Sacred Origin, a fig discoverer and grower from Northern California. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October\/November) will ship out first in November\/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine.
